Isa Alsup is a senior visual effects compositor and supervisor whose VFX and graphics work on over 50 films and hundreds of tv projects spans more than three decades. His films include Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For, Oz the Great and Powerful, Green Lantern, Batman and Robin, Mortal Kombat and The Shadow.
Isa studied art, design and management. He developed leadership training programs in the mid-1970s and writes about VFX leadership online at “The Art of CG Supervision”.
He taught and mentored artists in paint-animation, rotoscopy, CG, compositing and stereoscopy. He developed VFX training programs for Prime Focus, GEON Studios, Tippet Studios and The Post Group. He helped with the product design, testing and plug-in development of “Composer”, used on many features through the 1990s.
Isa is a member of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He has a national Emmy for Sports Graphics Design (1992 Olympics) and an Aegis Award. His TV projects have numerous Telly Awards and National Computer Graphics Association Awards.
