Students will learn the fundamentals of the digital sculpting application ZBrush as they go over anatomy lessons and learn techniques to model high resolution characters as well as their clothing and accessories. Students will also learn how to use Maya to create clean and efficient geometry and conclude by learning the process of creating texture maps for their assets.
From here we continue to dive deeper into the ZBrush toolset and focus on sculpting high resolution creatures. Topics covered include specialized techniques such as using Dynamesh, brushes and alphas to build and detail creature models. Students will also learn the texturing application MARI, it's powerful and extensive set of tools will allow them to create detailed high resolution textures.
Here students will learn how to use ZBrush as a conceptualisation tool for hard surface models. They will go over the different workflows and tools available in ZBrush to design and create high resolution models. The concept model will then serve as a guide to create a clean mesh using Maya's retopology tools. They will conclude by learning all of MARI's available features for texturing hard surface assets.
